Well, this is it.. Scored 10 As form my spm.. Didn’t hit Chinese and BM.. But its ok I guess… Im contented …:)
This weekend, spent 4 days in a youth hostel in Verden for an orientation camp… Was cool, though there were like ups and downs there… It was supposed to be cool like everyone would be brought together n stuff.. But for the Asians, there was a prob, coz there were lots of them frm latin America such as Costa Rica, Honduras, Brasil, Panama, Columbia, Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico… So they spoke Spanish! The Thais n Japs didn’t speak much English.. So there were only actually 4 who spoke English as their native language, the msians, an aus, n a new Zealander..
But things got cool, I was like ‘columbianised’.. haha… im half Columbian now… LOLZ.. The Paraguayians are very cool ppl too.. At the final night, there was a party.. n damn, I cant dance… That wasn’t good.. seriously.. After the party, hung out, talked crap… N seriously, drunk ppl can be seriously amusing, entertaining.. haha… They were like screwing each other with all kinds of foul languages frm diff languages.. haha.. This is wats called intercultural exchange: Hey, how do u say fuck in Chinese/Jap/Thai/Malay/Spanish etc? Haha.. The way how they say diu ni, is like hahahaha… On the final night, slept at 4am.. now having a sore throat, screw it…
At the orientation, all of us shared our experiences, like wat we encountered when we arrived here, questions asked by host family bout our native country.. Was really funny..
1. Frm the Honduran:
He was in the town about to cross the street with his host family members.
Host family: Do u noe, this is a T-r-a-f-f-i-c l-i-g-h-t.. (said it in a real slow way)
When its r-e-d, u cant go, when its g-r-e-e-n, u can go, when its, y-e-l-l-o-w
, u must prepare to stop..
2.Frm the argentinian
Host family: Do u have C-O-M-P-U-T-E-R-S (hands gesturing a square shaped item) in
Argentina?
3. Frm me, the msian
At the dinner table, there was pepsi laid on the table
Host bro: Chongshen, u noe pepsi? u have pepsi in Malaysia? (Said it real SLOW)
Me: Well yea of course…
Host bro: WOAH!!!! (sweat =.=’)
These kinda questions can be funny at the beginning, but can turn real annoying at times…
Well, so far have been here for 3 weeks, have started to feel a lil homesick, miss my family, my friends… Here ppl are friendly, but can I consider them my friends? They are friendly, I noe them, they noe me, but it remains as such… Seeing certain things around me brings back nice memories back home… Somehow, ive felt the feeling of being like an outcast, rejection.. N I can say it isn’t nice at all.. But this is a path I chose, I ought to finish it STRONG! N I do believe its just a passing phase.. J Hasta luego, chao… (Till next time, bye, in Spanish)
*Here are some pictures frm the orientation camp.. FINALLY haha….
